We all need coaching, to be able to play better and although Golf Croquet is comparatively simple to play, even Golf Croquet players will benefit from coaching by experienced coaches.
Most of our clubs provide this kind of coaching, either through dedicated courses or on a one-to-one basis. Introduction to Croquet courses are provided by many clubs at during the spring and early summer.
Don’t worry if you know nothing about croquet – these Introduction courses are designed for you! Or if you have played croquet before, perhaps in the garden, but aren’t really sure about all the rules, then come along – you’ll be taught everything you need to know.
Many clubs also have a library of books and magazines to borrow.
We created the Croquet Academy at the Sussex County Croquet Club in Southwick in 2007 to provide a range of courses by qualified coaches for all levels of skill.
Please see our Croquet Academy page for more details of the Academy and our Coaching News page for all the latest news items.
We subsidise Coaching and Refereeing courses. For 2023 this amounts to £25 per course, subject to some other minor conditions. The Croquet Association also provides a subsidy which, together with our subsidy, makes these courses very inexpensive.
